You're starting to "talk" a lot more. Some words you can say or have said before are mama, dada, dog (sounds like da), sock (comes out sounding like "ock"), night-night, bye-bye, cup, ha-ha, uh-oh, no-no, car, ball (sounds like "ba"), bear, quack-quack (sounds like "wack-wack")--I'm sure there are a few more I'm leaving out. You love to shriek and scream at the top of your lungs and love it when Harlee follows your cue and does it with you--you'll scream then she'll scream...cute at first but gives me a headache after a while!!
Speaking of Harlee, you LOVE your big sis so much!! You love to play with her (as long as she's not stealing toys away from you) and you two laugh at each other so much--it's so precious to watch you two form such a close bond. She is so protective over you--if someone says something to you or about you she's very quick to tell them "That's MY brother!!". She has a very motherly, nurturing attitude towards you and anytime you cry or she hurts you (she doesn't understand that you're very easy to knock down or push over) she's quick to pat you on the back, say she's sorry (even if the reason you're crying has nothing to do with her) and shower you with kisses. She kisses and hugs you so much that eventually you start trying to push her away.
You're eating all sorts of things--pretty much whatever Harlee gets, you get. There are some things you don't care for such as bananas and cheese cubes. Some days you'll eat yogurt & applesauce and other days you spit it out or push my hand away when I feed you with the spoon. Meal time is incredibly messy with you--more food ends up in your high chair or on the floor it seems and you have a bad habit of either pushing your cup in the floor or throwing it in the floor.
You have 6 teeth (four on the top and 2 on the bottom) and you love to have your teeth brushed although I think it's more along the lines of you like to bite my finger when I'm brushing your teeth! You have incredibly big beautiful blue eyes and everywhere we go people constantly compliment you on them. Definitely have Daddy's long, luscious lashes.....those eyes are already a killer for the ladies! :-)
You wear size 4 diaper, 12-18 month or 18 month size clothes, size 2-4 shoe (depending on brand). You HATE wearing shoes & socks and are much happier carrying them around then you are actually wearing them! In fact, Ms. Mary Anne told me that while most kids want a stuffed animal during naptime, you prefer to cuddle with your socks....
You usually go to bed around 6:30 each evening and if you stay up later than that, you're a grumpy old man. You usually wake up around 6:30 in the mornings. You get 1 nap a day (after lunchtime) during the week at daycare but on the weekends you act like you still want/need 2 naps so that's what you'll get. You're very easy to put to sleep--I just put you in your crib with your paci, turn on your sound machine & crib music toy and off to sleep you go.
We started working with Harlee to give up the paci when she was 15 months but you're just not ready yet so I'm not pushing it...I do try to only give it to you when you're sleeping but there are times when you just cry for it so I pluck it in your mouth (definitely helps me keep my sanity from not having to hear you scream!!).
You are constantly into everything and love to explore! You're trying to run and you want to climb up on the furniture so badly but just can't do it yet. You hate having stuff taken away from you and will try to hold your arm back so far so you don't have to give "it" up--either that or you'll take off "running".
We're going in a couple of weeks for your 15-month well-baby check-up so I'll have your stats to post after the appointment.
