I took you for your 15 month check up (over a month late because you kept getting sick every time we were scheduled to go) on November 17th. You got 4 shots and did not like them one bit!! Your stats were:
Weight-- 25 lbs. 4 oz. (75th %tile)
Height-- 30 1/4" (25-50th %tile)
Head--18" (25-50th %tile)
You're wearing 12-18 or 18 month clothes, although I have to roll up the ends of your pants because of your short legs. You wear size 4 diaper and size 2 or 3 shoe. Bedtime is usually between 6-7 p.m. and you wake up 12 hours later without a peep during the night. You're down to one nap a day (after lunch) although sometimes on the weekends you'll take a morning nap.
You love to eat but are getting a little pickier about stuff--you won't eat certain fruits, ravioli, cheese cubes and a few other foods. I've started letting you use a spoon and you actually do pretty good about getting it in your mouth with food on it although you are a complete mess when you're done.
You can say so many words!! Dr. Wilson was surprised at the extent of your vocabulary, given your age and since you're a boy. Some of your usual words are: mama, dada, dog, ball, cup, shoe, night-night, bye-bye, hi, ho-ho-ho, no-no, sock, bowl, cup, more, paci, quack-quack, moo, ha-ha, bear, dog and I'm probably forgetting some. You know what sounds the dog, cat, lion, monkey, cow, bird and elephant make. You love to dance and you LOVE to be the center of attention!!
You don't really have any favorite toys right now but you do spend more time in Harlee's room playing with her toys than you do in your room playing with yours. You've recently started climbing on your bounce & spin zebra toy and can bounce up and down by yourself.
You are such a lovable baby. You come up to us now to shower us with hugs & kisses and you like to pat us on the back when giving hugs. You are such a lover!!! (and I absolutely LOVE it!!!).
You're still very active and inquisitive and love to get into whatever you can but you're really good about putting stuff back or getting out of stuff when you're told to. You don't understand the concept of sharing and you think that what's yours is yours and what's Harlee's is yours so you two have already started the sibling squabbling over toys--I try to just ignore you two and let you work it out on your own but I do have to interject when you start hitting each other (although I do let you get in a "freebie" every now and then simply because of all the orneriness she throws on you sometimes...lol). What can I say, you're my mama's boy. :-)
This has to be my favorite age in the toddlerhood--so curious about everything but still showing some reserve on new stuff...so independent and want to do it all yourself but you still need me & want my help.
I love you so much, Aiden and I cannot believe how fast you're growing and developing. The old cliche is definitely true---time definitely has flown by, especially with you. Your love & sweetness absolutely melt my heart!
These pics were taken at one of Harlee's friend's (Sam Glover) birthday party on November 14th. While all of the kids ran around playing or jumping in the jumpy house, you were content playing with whatever you could find on the ground....
