First Fireworks Shows

Since your birthday is the day before Independence Day, you'll always get to enjoy some fireworks for your birthday!! We got to catch the fireworks show the city of Sherwood puts on at Sherwood Forrest on Saturday, July 3rd. It had been raining and stopped but started sprinkling again when we left the house but Daddy decided that we would just drive down there anyway so we could see where they do them. There was crazy traffic because everybody was trying to leave but we kept driving and eventually the rain stopped and they started doing the fireworks!! He found us a "front row" spot with a great view on the back side of town and we sat in the car and watched them. You did fairly well but stared getting restless because it was well past your bedtime!  (The first two pictures are the result when we got back home)

Since Daddy was the only one out of the 4 of us that had ever been to the "Big" fireworks show at the River, (how crazy is that?) we had made plans to watch the fireworks at the River on Sunday, July 4th. We loaded up our blanket and found a great spot to stretch out and watch them. You liked walking around our area and watching all the people and you did much better than I expected sitting there watching all of them. Daddy had bought you some ear protection to wear because you always complain about loud noises but you didn't even want to wear them! I loved watching your face light up when the fireworks would explode in the sky! You would say they were "petty" (aka pretty) or loud and then you would smile or laugh!!

I can't wait to make many more memories with you!!!
